Ever since there has been a truck or Jeep, there has been electrical accessories to bolt on and hook up to your ride. Lights, compressors, stereos, tools, electrical converters, winches, it is a long list.

In the old days, the entire wiring harness on a Jeep would probably fit in a large shoe box. It was basic, and tapping into any wire that had uninterrrupted power would probably work. Itís not like it would affect anything else.
As the years went by, Jeeps became more complicated. You could still tap into a power wire somewhere in the wiring harness, probably without much fuss. A little splicing, some electrical tape, and youíre good to go (unless you smell smoke on an overloaded circuit, or youíre popping fuses all over the place).
Then the modern tech space age came along, and the Jeeps of today have more computers than the Apollo Command Module, and the systems are 1000 times more complicated. The computers can run multiple things on one circuit, so if you splice into your wiper motor, the next thing you know is the engine light is on, and your dome light doesnít work for some mysterious reason.
Tapping into the wiring harness on a new vehicle is risky at best. The computer knows all. It knows youíre tapping into something, and itís probably going to give you a world of trouble for your desecration.

If you add, say, a compressor, or exterior lighting, youíre running the wires to the sPOD Power Source System. Not to the battry, not to your stock fuse box, and not to a spliced wiring harness.
