The security saga with Chrysler and uConnect continues. Some in the industry are looking to blame BlackBerry, since some of the development has been tied to their QNX Neutrino OS. However, BlackBerry states that the security flaw was not in the OS itself, but additional components, such as connectivity software, that runs on top of the QNX OS. (much like any software runs on any computer OS). Currently, a class action lawsuit has been filed on behalf of the owners of the recalled automobiles with uConnect. Though the lawsuit does not include BlackBerry. QNX itself is based on UNIX, and has been installed on more than 60 million vehicles in past years. You can read more about the uConnect topic in our article  "Chrysler Recalls 1.4M Vehicles for Bug Fix After Hack".
