Chrysler Releases President's Day Commercial Ads

Fiat Chrysler, in a nod to President’s Day (today, 2/15/16) and election year, has released two President's Day commercial ads featuring actors Bill Pullman and Martin Sheen, both of whom have played American presidents in Independence Day and The West Wing, respectively.

The tongue-in-cheek ad campaign aptly named “Premium to the People” displays Pullman and Sheen reprising their roles as former Presidents of the United States. With Pullman in a 2016 Chrysler 200 and Sheen in a 2016 Chrysler 300, the two discuss features of their vehicles in a way that mirrors the desires and rights of the American people. The first two spots of many to be released over the coming months are titled “American-est” and “Swerve,” in which Pullman and Sheen trade witty banter like “I’m wrapping myself up in Napa Leather, adorned with this ‘Old Glory’ pen so you know I’m patriotic,” and “What is this? An America-off?”

The company’s goal is to poke fun at political jargon and rhetoric while reminding American consumers that they have the right to drive a car that is manufactured in America-- the brand’s recurring message since their “Imported from Detroit” campaign. Other recent Chrysler commercials salute Jeep's 75 year history in American culture, and the brand's overall strength and stability. It's good to see FCA releasing a mix of emotional, comedic, and culturally focused ads to include consumers of all kinds. The campaign is slated to be released over television, radio, and online channels. All of which is in keeping with FCA’s CEO, Sergio Marchionne’s aggressive sales goals for Chrysler and Jeep brands over the next few years. Morris 4x4 Center, in patriotic fashion, is offering a special President's Day sale on jeep parts today. Enjoy the sale and Happy President's Day! Which was your favorite President's Day Commercial?
