Jeep is adding 700 jobs to their Toledo, OH production plant. Approximately $700 million dollars were spent to renovate and prepare for the 2017 Wrangler and Wrangler pickup. Toledo Mayor Paula Hicks-Hudson expressed her gratitude to FCA for investing in the community and contributing to the local economy.

Jeep Adds Jobs and Expands Production Plants

The news was unexpected considering the plant's recent layoffs. Sergio Marchionne's has also stated that employment levels would maintain, not grow. The City of Toledo invested $5 million to for land expansion for the coming surge of production and work. The 700 jobs will contribute to the production of the Wranglers while the Cherokee will move to Illinois. The plant is award winning and expects to expand its productivity measures.
