Fiat Pandas Advertising Campaign Using CJ7 Parts

Some things in life you can't unsee. This little experiment was Fiat actually partnering with Mercurio Cinematografica to wed a Panda 4x4 with a Jeep CJ-7. The result is a Panda with a set of 59-inch tractor tires. The whole contraption sits 12.8 feet tall and took just over two weeks to build. There's no word on whether engineers kept the Panda's engine and transmission or abandoned them for the Jeep CJ-7 drive train and parts (but we're sure it isn't Fiat powered). Fiat mentioned the hardest part was getting the brakes, steering, clutch and accelerator controls to work with the Jeep parts. This is the beginning of Fiat's advertising campaign that highlight's the Panda's attributes, and building a tractor style version of the little hatchback was the easiest way to show off the vehicle's off-road prowess. But all it look ridiculous in all honesty. It looks like a monster truck / smart car.
