Teraflex has gone to great lengths to make the Falcon Nexus Teraflex 2.1 Equal Force Steering Stabilizer as tough and durable as can be. Sure, it looks good out of the box. But they know you’ll be hitting the trails and getting it dirty, muddy, scraped up, and beaten on with normal wear.

Brand new for 2017 is the Falcon Nexus Teraflex 2.1 Equal Force Steering Stabilizer. An innovative part that brings an all new steering stabilizer design to the engineering table for your JK Wrangler Jeeps.

At first glance, you’ll notice that the thick piston rod passes through the shock body portion, all the way through. This gives you positive pressure on both sides of the piston. These are sometimes referred to as a “passthrough’ steering stabilizer. This new technology is a huge upgrade over your stock or traditional steering stabilizer. On the usual “one-sided” steering stabilizer, where the piston rod comes out only one end, that exerts pressure not only on the steering (and tire) but also causes an opposite pressure towards the steering wheel.

The Falcon Nexus Teraflex 2.1 Equal Force Steering Stabilizer, once installed, will give a very positive feel for making and going into a turn. But also gives you valuable feedback in the steering when you come out of the turn as you come back to centerline. You get a sense, with the equal pressure, that you know exactly what’s going on when you’re steering your Jeep from the feel. Your Jeep will handle so much better.

The Falcon Nexus Teraflex 2.1 Equal Force Steering Stabilizer mounts in a nontraditional manner, as it includes a beefy mount right on the shock body assembly. This allows the steering stabilizer to be mounted above, where a factory stabilizer would have been mounted, above the factory tie rod.

This means the stabilizer is one less thing hanging below on your Jeep to get caught on a boulder, rock, or tree stump. That's a good thing.

The mounting feature itself will accept the factory Jeep tie rods (1 3/8”), or, sold as a separate part number, one that will accept a 1 5/8” tie rod. That covers almost all the steering stabilizer/tie rods out there. Be sure and measure the diameter of your tie rod before ordering, or call us for help.

The shaft alone is made from 5/8 induction hardened low porosity chrome steel. What does that mean? On other steering stabilizers, you may have noticed some pitting and scratches on the piston shaft. Over time, that rough surface tears up the round seal on the end of the shock body. The seal that prevents any gas or oil from exiting outside the shock body. Seal failure is the number one reason steering stabilizers go bad.

The piston rod on the Falcon Nexus Teraflex 2.1 Equal Force Steering Stabilizer is durable and resistant to rock chips and pitting. Adding many more years of life to your new steering stabilizer.

Also, the Falcon Nexus Teraflex 2.1 Equal Force Steering induction hardened low porosity chrome steel uses full synthetic shock oil inside, as well and an inline damper. These features help to keep down any cavitation (aeration) or fade. The Lucas oil is top rated for lubricity. From the Sahara to the South Pole, you’ll get an even and balanced performance. By the way, the new Falcon Nexus Teraflex 2.1 is a direct bolt-on part for your stock JK steering stabilizer. No special tools are needed, just simple sockets, wrenches, and Allen keys.
