This conversion package comes with the parts necessary to make installing a Chevrolet 4.3L V6 or V8 engine in your 1980-1986 Jeep CJ Vehicle as trouble free as possible. The 1980-1986 Jeep CJ's utilized both 4 and 5 speed manual transmissions. The 4 speeds being used during this time were the SR4, commonly found bolted to the 151 cubic inch GM "Iron Duke" 4 cylinder, the Borg Warner T4 and in some early cases the Tremec T176. The 5 speed being used during these years was the Borg Warner T5. These transmissions are adequate for most conversions with moderate horse power and tire size. This option comes with our with our comes with our Bolt-In Style engine mount kit. With the Advance Adapters CJ Bolt-In engine mounting kit placing your new engine has never been easier. The Bolt in kit utilizes existing mounting holes from the factory engine mount locations. These stock holes combined with the custom geometry of the Advance Adapters mounts make for a perfect engine fit everytime.
