2014 Replacement for the Jeep Compass and Patriot?

Seem that we will see a refined successor in 2014, which may retain the Patriot name, riding on the new Compact-U.S.-Wide architecture. The Compass/Patriot replacement is currently slated for 2014. Meaning we should start seeing prototypes  in late 2013. Originally rumored to keep the Patriot name and styling, but now that the Compass is outselling the Patriot after the redesign, it could go either way. For all us simple folk know it will have a totally different name. The Compass and Patriot will probably share roughly the same engine choices of a 1.4L turbocharged Fiat 4-cylinder (Same as in the 500 Abarth, 170HP), 2.0L and 2.4L versions of the new Tigershark engine (updated version of the current World Engine that the Patriot / Compass currently use), which should come in around 200HP. Transmission choices will be a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic or a 9-speed (yes, I said Nine speed) automatic transmission. If this Jeep comes with those wheels (shown above), I'm sure wheels and tires will be the first upgrade for the new owner! The unnamed replacement will be available in a Trail Rated version, and from early platform suggest that ground clearance and approach angles are better than either the current Compass or Patriot. I can assure you no matter what Jeep calls it, Morris 4x4 Center will have parts and accessories in-stock ready to go!
