2019 Jeep Cherokee Will Have Updated Front and Rear
The 2014 release of the Cherokee left XJ lovers disappointed with its unibody frame and updated, bubbly styling. To make matters worse, the front lights and grille made a major departure from Jeep lovers’ expectation with a slanted grille and even slantier, split headlights and fog lights. The 2019 Cherokee updates will feature:
- Flatter Grille
- Larger Upper Light Units with LED Accents
- Fog Lights in The Lower Fascia
- New Taillights
- License Plate Moved from Bumper to Hatch
The rest of the body appears to be unchanged. It’s hard to say whether these minor changes will sway XJ loyalists, as the brand’s departure from old styling and frame considered fuel-efficiency and customer segmentation when developing this new Jeep back in 2014; keeping the off-road prowess in all of its vehicles, Cherokees and Grand Cherokees seem to be reserved for moms and teenagers, while the Wrangler is clearly the highly customizable, off-road king that 4x4 enthusiasts love to play with and make unique. There are, of course, exceptions to this personal opinion.
