Takata airbag inflators are undergoing a worldwide recall. By now, FCA has reportedly stopped using theses inflators in its vehicles. With an estimated 70 million Takata airbags in the United States, you and your Jeep may be affected. Recall phases are expected to go through 2019.

Takata Passenger Airbag Recall

So what's the deal? The passenger airbag inflator may rupture due to excessive internal pressure, during normal airbag deployment events.
