Gearing Up For Winter 2020

Are you ready for this heat to be gone? We sure are. Ah, just picture it; crisp evening air, breaking out the thick and cozy blankets, playing in the snows... and bracing for the moment when we inevitably just kinda want summer back again. It's a vicious cycle, isn't it?

Well, we have no choice in the matter, so we might as well be prepared. We put together a list of gear and accessories to help get your through winter safely and comfortably. Whether you're going to be out exploring the wilderness, hunting, snowboarding/skiing, or just trying to get to and from work without freezing, we've got you and your Jeep covered.

For Jeepers on the Hunt

Hunters tend to have a pretty wide variety of needs. Even just making it out to the prime spots is an adventure in its own in some areas, making a good 4x4 a necessity. Having good tires, proper recovery and safety gear is just as important to carry with you hunting as anything.

Of course we have a selection of gun racks and lockable storage boxes, but like we mentioned, you still need to be able to get back. A well-fitted hunting rig should have the tools and gear on hand to change out a tire at least. For lifted rigs that might mean a high lift jack, a good air compressor that can fill oversized tires in a reasonable amount of time, and having recovery straps is always a good idea.

For Jeepers Plowing Snow

For as long as Jeeps have existed, they have been work vehicles as much as they have been people carriers. There was a time when you could order a Jeep with a snowplow attachment right from a catalog, along with other tools that were powered off the Jeeps own drivetrain, such as an auger that you could attach to the rear bumper. Get out and do your best Mr. Plow impression!

For Jeepers Headed to the Slopes

Ah yes, Aspen. A place where the beer flows like wine, at least according to Jim Carrey. Well wherever you're headed to hit snowboard or ski, you'll probably want a more convenient way to take your gear back and forth than having the boards span across every row of seating. Here's where our selection of ski and snowboard racks comes in to keep your bulky gear out of the jeep and even be able to lock them up while you're at it.

For Jeepers Who Want to Beat the Cold

Jeeps aren't exactly known for their thermal insulation properties. Anyone who has spent time in cold climates with a soft top and soft upper doors knows that all too well. Switching to a hardtop is one solid step towards not completely freezing on your way to work every morning. Add in one of our seat heater kits and you'll be much better suited to make it through these grueling winters.

Part of beating the cold also entails things going on outside of your vehicle as well. All that snow, road salt, and rocks that get kicked up are as much a hazard to you as they are to other drivers. Some states require mud flaps to cover the width of your tire for this reason. These keep debris from being kicked up and damaging not only your own paint, but the windshields of those behind you as well.
