Gibson Performance Exhausts for Your Jeep Wrangler
Gibson Performance makes different versions of the Cat-back systems for Jeeps such as the Wrangler JK to the smaller Jeep Compass. These typically fit behind the rear axle because that’s where the factory system is located. Not uncommon on vehicles with a short wheelbase. Of course, Gibson Performance gives you choices for your ride, including different finishes and materials, such as Aluminized, Black, and even Stainless Steel. Chrome tips add a finishing touch. Remember, these are not just for looks. They have been “tuned” specifically for the Jeep vehicle to give you the best performance for your engine. Gibson Performance also offers Headers for the JK Wranglers to get you even more horsepower and torque.
But Gibson isn’t just about the Jeep JKs. They make catback systems and some headers for the Wrangler TJ models, the YJ Jeeps, even the Cherokees and Grand Cherokees. As well as the Commander XK, Patriots, Libertys, and Compass. The longer wheelbase Jeeps connect underneath about halfway between the two axles, so they are longer, but except on a few very old models, they should still be a bolt on part.

Why no Cat-back systems for the early CJs? They didn’t have catalytic converters. Well, maybe a few did in California, they have some wacky laws. So, you can’t really have a Cat-back system if you don’t have the Cat. Overall, Jeeps are nothing new to Gibson. Their goal is for you to get the most out of your Jeep's exhaust system, and adding a Cat-back system from them is a sure fire way to go to get the job done right the first time.
