When thinking about Summer, one of the things most Jeepers look forward too is getting rid of the doors. They’re easy to remove on a Wrangler, and they really get the air flowing inside to enjoy the day. Checking out the Warn Jeep, they’ve already removed the doors, added a shade top, and they’re ready to go.

With Summer coming on strong at the Morris 4x4 Center here in Florida (it’s 102 degrees already? Whew!), Eric checks out some of the Jeeps at Jeep Beach 2017 and gives you some ideas on how to beat the heat on your own rig.

Spiderwebshade offers several kinds of webshades to create some shade, without totally blocking the air you need to stay cool with a breeze. They’re available in a multitude of colors, so they look good on any Jeep. They also make some neat webshades that fit Rancho Tube Doors. Pretty cool stuff (literally).

A Jeep with rear facing chairs? What’s Eric thinking about - fishing? They look like they would fit the bill. A cool drink, with your feet up, and reeling in the next batter fried meal.

Summer isn’t just for the new kid on the block, the JK Wrangler. You can enjoy summer in any classic Jeep like the classic Willys. Got your longboards? Toss ‘em on the top. Time to catch the waves.

While you can remove your doors fully, you may want to look at Rugged Ridge’s Half Doors. They are made from a tough composite plastic material, that can also be painted to match your Jeep (or wrapped, as seen here). They are high quality, and they close tight. They use a weather strip for a good seal and don’t shake or rattle when driving. They are also lightweight, which makes them easy to swap out on your Jeep. (Rugged Ridge does make upper doors as well that fit along with the lower doors).

In summer, you’re going to be in and out of your Jeep frequently. To protect your seats, you want to look at the Bartact Heavy Duty Cordura Seat Covers. Made from a Cordura material (which is used by the military), they are very tough, and waterproof. No soggy seat cushions here.

If you’re wondering about those blue “coolers” you see in several shots, those are made by ARB. They’re actually a refrigerator. Oh yeah, keeping things cool for the summer heat!

How are you going to set your Jeep up for Summer?
