Japan Declares Jeep "Green"
Today, Jeep makes history for something other than its service in our military - it's been declared green. That's right, Jeep is now the first American Made U.S. brand vehicle to qualify for Japan's green-car tax incentive. The incentive gives Japanese Jeep consumers a tax break of 58,000 yen (about $530) when they buy Jeep's 2016 Cherokee Trailhawk. The Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk meets emissions and fuel efficiency standards, making it the first American made vehicle to even come close to appealing to a Japanese audience.
