Teraflex has been around a long time, and they are always expanding their lines to new and better products. As such, we now carry the new Tereflex Falcon monotube shocks. These work, depending on the modifications to your Jeep, from stock heights on up to a those with a 6-inch lift.

These can be used on street and off-road Jeeps. They have been specifically valved to have “sport,” or stiffer valving. This exerts more force on your suspension and tires, to keep them in contact with the ground as much as possible. Not matter how hard your drive.

Being a monotube shock design, they use nitrogen gas under high pressure to prevent any cavitation (aeration) inside, which can weaken a shock’s ability to dampen. Mile after mile, they will dampen when other shocks will fade from exertion and heat.

The body of the shocks are made from 6061 aluminum, which has been hardened and anodized. Inside, the shocks use Lucas full synthetic oil for superior performance, whether it’s on a long trail or rocking down the highway at speed. The oil has special anti-wear agents that make for excellence thermal stability.

The shock bodies are a slim 2.25 inches, using less space for better articulation. They incorporate a strong 3/4-inch shaft to prevent shaft buckling. The shaft itself is hard chrome, and induction hardened to resist rock damage and corrosion.

We also want to mention their new Sport Piggyback design shocks. These are for serious off-roading/racing. What makes these shocks different is they have an external reservoir, to help dissipate the heat and cool down the internal oils.

On the Teraflex Piggyback shocks, the reservoir has been mounted horizontally. Unlike a conventional external reservoir that runs alongside the shocks, which has a much wider thickness, these give you more room around the shock body for your suspension needs and modifications.

These have a digressive linear piston (valving). The Piggyback design with a fluid passage eliminates common leakage issues found in banjo and swivel fittings, such as used on hoses and connection with vertically mounted reservoirs.

The Tereflex engineers have carefully chosen the best aspects of a performance shock design and incorporated it into their Falcon shock products.

Take a good look at them and see which ones will work with your Jeep mods. You're going to start seeing a lot of these on other Jeeps soon, you might as well get ahead of the game.
