Toledo Makes Headlines Again with Silver Medal Status

In an effort to improve World Class Manufacturing, the Toldeo, OH Jeep plant has been awarded Silver status. It's the first plant in the United States to receive the award. This is coming after receiving bronze status in 2012. The silver status comes from concentrated efforts to reduce waste, and improve quality and safety, among other factors. Independent audits of technical and managerial practices are conducted to determine the status. Technical Items include:
  • Safety
  • Work Environment
  • Logistics
  • Organization
Managerial Items are:
  • Clarity of Objectives
  • Motivation of Operators
  • Commitment to Organization
As  part of Jeep's continued success in sales, it appears as though all facets of the brand are running on all cylinders. From marketing efforts like the Superbowl commercial and mud masks, global success, and beyond, Jeep is increasing its momentum. Jeep can't stop winning! Receiving this Silver Medal Status is icing on the ever-growing cake. We count it as one more thing to celebrate later this year at the Toledo Jeep Fest. Congrats, Toledo Plant!
