If you've ever wondered "where are Jeeps made in the US?" it's important to note that the FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) is a worldwide company. Which means several of the its vehicles under different brands are made all over the world in large factories, located in different countries, on many different continents. Essentially, the individual parts are manufactured all around the globe. But when it comes to assembling those parts into the vehicle we all know and love, that’s done right here. If you live in the USA, and bought your Jeep here, then your Jeep was made in America (except for the Renegade - more on that in a minute).

Where are Jeep Wranglers Made?

If you’re driving the Jeep JK Wrangler, either the 2-door or 4-door Unlimted model, you Jeep was made at the popular plant in Toledo, Ohio. The place where Jeeps were basically born. There is such a demand for Wranglers today that the factory can barely keep up with orders. They essentially run 24/7 when possible, and roll out those Jeeps day and night. The Toledo Plants is actually two plants connected together. Apart, they are known as the Stickney Plant, and the Parkway Annex. Along with the JK Wranglers being made there, they also produce the Cherokees.

Where are Jeep Grand Cherokees and Other Models Made?

Another place where Jeeps are made is Detroit Michigan. Yep, they still actually make cars there. The Jeep plant there is known as the Jefferson North Assembly Plant. They make the big dogs there, the Grand Cherokee and the SRT Grand Cherokees. The third place Jeeps are made in the USA is the Belvidere Plant in Illinois. They make the Jeep Compass and Jeep Patriots, the smaller Jeep models.

Renegades and International Plants

Now, if you drive a Renegade, those are not made here in the States. They are actually built in an assembly plant in Melfi, Italy. Then shipped to us on container ships. So I guess if you own a Renegade, you can at least say you’ve got an Italian "sports" car in the drive way. Since it really was made there. Jeeps are also produced internationally, outside of Italy. Recently, Jeep plants have been established in India, China, and Brazil. These plants were placed strategically to leverage Jeep's growing popularity and international sales in these regions.
