NOMINATE A FELLOW JEEPER & PAY IT FORWARD

Over the last few months, COVID-19 has impacted nearly every aspect of our society. Within our country and the Jeep community, many of us have lost jobs or even friends or family members. Yet, here at Morris 4x4, we've marveled at the stories of courage, strength, and resilience in the Jeep community. From drive-by birthday Jeep parades to volunteer trail upkeep, to going to extraordinary lengths make ends meet, Jeepers continue to impress & inspire us. In the spirit of paying it forward, we want to do something special for deserving Jeepers.

Cheri, nominating Vicki Ray
"There really aren’t enough words to describe why Vicki deserves this act of kindness.....she is selfless. Not only has she raised to adulthood 6 children but she then adopted 7 more..while working full time for the United States Post Office. She is a strong Christian women who has always put the needs of others before herself. While in the process of adopting these children her husband became suddenly very ill due to an allergic reaction to a common Antibiotic. The reaction caused her husband to die two years later. She continued to fight to keep all seven siblings together even after his death getting the youngest child placed in her home just this last Christmas. She is also the best mail lady anyone could have. Her customers adore and value the service she provides for them on a daily basis as a rural route carrier. I know first hand how difficult it has been for her with the death of her husband, the process of adopting, the stress of her job and the stress of her vehicle continually needing work on it. And on top of all this she has put up with me as a fellow mail lady and daughter. My mom Vicki Ray is a perfect candidate for this random act of kindness!"

Brandee, nominating Alesia
"This girl, has had more sadness in her life than anyone else. She lost her brother, mother and husband. She is raising her two kids, plus her niece, by herself. We are both deputies, so we work our butts off for people that hate us. Yet, she smiles more than anyone I know! This girl loves her Jeep and it’s her chill pill. I want to see her get gifted this. I will probably give her my portion as well!!! Please consider my friend! She has a heart of gold."

David, nominating Haley
“Haley's family has always been a Jeep family helping others. Her uncle passed away a few years ago from a motorcycle accident, and had hundreds of Jeepers remember him across Tennessee with the scorpion logo on their Jeeps. He touched many lives with his kindness and generosity. Haley had recently gotten a 1997 White Jeep TJ, and has wanted to do a tribute vehicle towards her uncle. She has unfortunately gone through some really rough spots lately. Getting laid off from her job, breakup from an engagement, moving out of Tennessee due to getting kicked out of her ex's house, all while having her young 11 month old daughter to take care of. She has gone out of her way to help others countlessly, while never really asking for it in return. I first met Haley on July 3rd, and she has certainly touched my heart, and quickly became the best friend I could never imagine having. After inspecting her TJ after a wheeling trip, I found some frame rust on the rear driver side control arm bracket, her tires worn, the suspension bushings and soft top worn and dry-rotted, and the a/c not working. After finding out that she is limited to transporting her daughter at certain times of the day because of the summer heat, I have stepped up to help her in any way that I possibly can. About a week ago to this submission, she had a deer run across and hit the TJ as she was driving about 60mph. Damaged the front grille assembly, and front fender. Today on 7/23/20, her TJ started to leak red fluid in a Walmart parking lot, and while having her brother and daughter in the TJ. I called a towing company and got her vehicle towed back to the house because I did not want them to get hurt in any way attempting to drive it home. Her jeep really needs help, it has great potential, and if this were to be selected, I would even donate my portion of the pay it forward towards her jeep to make sure Haley and her daughter are safe”

Erik, nominating Billy
“Billy has started one of the fast growing Jeep groups in southern New England SouthCoast Jeep Club, billy offers his full service shop to all member to work on their Jeeps. He always give discounts to members that are not able to work on their own Jeeps. During COVID billy has offered free repairs to members that can not afford to fix their just as long as it is their primary mood of transportation, free parts and labor thanks to donations from group members and businesses. As well as running his full service ship he also has put together a great deal of Birthday Runs and Charity events. Billy also helps out other local clubs by supporting their runs and events. Recently billy was robbed at a Jeep run for the local Children's hospital. The Good Night Lights Event which is known nation wide now. He had money and a GoPro stolen from him while waiting to convoy out. His group members donated what they could and we were able to buy him a replacement GoPro and also give him back some of the cash he had lost. Billy would give anyone anything to help them even if it ment putting himself in a hole. Just this week Billy had to put out a notice that the free COVID repairs would have to stop due to lack of donations(no one thought it would last this long) that $250 would be great for shop supplies and honestly I don’t think he would take that $1000 in upgrades for himself but donate it back to the people who need it more. I have sent the shop a few care packages of wd40, breakaway, and shop towels to help the burden on billy but it’s a hard time for everyone. Billy is by far the most selfless jeeper I have ever met and I would donate my winnings to him for the COVID Jeep repair program. I don’t deserve to winning anything but Billy sure does. Check out his Facebook post in SouthCoast Jeep Club just to see how selfless he really is, I know his 2000 club member would all agree he deserves this more than anyone. I’m sure there is tons more that I’m not even aware of that billy had done for people."
