MBS (Minimum Breaking Strength)= 12,300 lb.
Winchline extensions are an important tool when you find yourself in a situation where your winchline will not reach your anchor point or you need extra length on your winchline to make an angle change in your winchline rigging. Our philosophy for most winch-winchline rigging is to use less line on the winch and carry an extension for the times when you need the additional length. The reason is all winches are rated on the very first wire-cable or rope layer. Meaning your typical 9000 Lb. winch has 9000 pounds of pulling power ONLY on the first layer.
Buyer Beware: There are variations of very strong synthetic ropes that we have seen on the market. These can include Amsteel rather than AmSteel-Blue (both can be blue and virtually indistinguishable) and Dyneema SK-60 available as well. Ultimate Trail Products (UTP) will never substitute synthetic ropes of lesser strength or quality.
